Accessed via a steep driveway, which provides ample off-road parking, you will discover a large front lawn with nets, ideal for a game of football, as well as a wrap-around patio, where you can sit out and enjoy the tranquil setting and views of the nearby field and the grazing cows and sheep. The town of Whitchurch is slightly further afield renowned for its clock production and home to stunning Medieval, Tudor and Georgian architecture. Pay a visit to one of several National Trust mansions and gardens close by, including, Trentham Gardens, Alton Towers, Dorothy Clive Gardens, Hodnet Hall, Attingham, Hawkstone Park, Wollerton Gardens and Tatton Park. The medieval town of Shrewsbury and Ludlow as well as Trentham Gardens, Royal Doulton and Wedgewood can all be accessed within a short drive, with the Roman city of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester all being approx. an hour away from the property. Freshwinds is a stunning base for a get together with loved ones in Shropshire. 3 miles away from the property is Cudmore fishing lakes ‘as shown on SKY TV Fishing Matches’. 10 lakes – fishing day tickets available. 300 yards away from Cudmore fishing lakes it the beautiful 17th century Mainwaring Arms public house and Whitmore tea rooms. All well worth a visit. The Mainwaring pub is a very old pub and very nice inside and noted in the history books, with good on-site parking and the Whitmore tea rooms are next door which are the very best in Staffordshire. These team rooms are well booked in the summer months so it is advisable to call first and book as they are so popular – you will not be disappointed. They are amazing inside, and you have the Mainwaring arms pub next door and Cudmore fishing lakes x 10 only 300 yards away all with very good parking. Also, locally near the Swan with two necks is the Dorothy Clive gardens which are beautiful for walks and only 2 miles from Freshwinds. Other attractions – Trentham gardens are a 20-minute drive from Freshwinds. A well-loved attraction including Italian design gardens and a monkey forest with and many shops and a large garden centre which is a well attraction in Staffordshire. There is also a lake and a huge estate with garden and an excellent parking facility. The Welsh border is only a short drive away, with it's must see scenery and places to visit including stunning Llangollen, beautiful Bala Lake and wonderful views from Horseshoe Pass to name a few. Freshwinds just has so much to offer and more, making lasting holiday memories for all the family.
