Entering through a side door to the owner’s home, you have space for coats and boots before ascending the stairs to your own private accommodation. The light and bright living room is attractively furnished with sitting, dining and kitchen areas and leads to a spacious bedroom, a lovely shower room and a separate cloakroom. The garden is a haven for local birds and wildlife so there is plenty to catch your eye, if you are lucky you might even spot an elusive otter. Across the river you can glimpse the lovely Stokesay Castle, one of the finest and best preserved medieval manor houses in England, and on a warm evening relax with a refreshing drink or rustle up a tasty barbecue in this delightful setting. Sightings of Red Kites and soaring buzzards are common so keep your eyes to the skies! Ideally placed for exploring the local area, there is much to see and do in Shropshire with an abundance of walks, cycle rides and birdwatching all set within areas of outstanding natural beauty. Take time to explore the nearby popular market town of Ludlow with its varied architecture, plentiful bars and cafés, castle, riverside walks, racecourse and regular market days as well as its famous Food Festivals and brewery producing artisan beers. Take a ride on the Severn Valley Railway from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, discover our industrial past at Blists Hill Open Air Museum near Ironbridge, stroll through the lovely streets of medieval Shrewsbury, birthplace of Charles Darwin or visit the market town of Church Stretton, popular with the Victorians as a health resort.
