Why Book A Room When You Can Have A Suite, Wootton

Shropshire. Sleeps up to 2

In the hamlet of Wootton, near Bridgnorth, the Mews is annexed from the main house across a courtyard. Wootton Lodge Mews offers smart modern bijou accommodation in an idyllic Shropshire setting. We are close to the following wedding venues; The Mill Barns Alveley, Blakelands Bobbington, The Old Vicarage Hotel Worfield, High Grosvenor Worfield & Patshull Park Wolverhampton. Perfect for a countryside getaway, but also convenient for Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury and Telford.

Access to the Mews from Duken Lane is via the entrance to Wootton Lodge, through a pair of 4m wide metal gates. Look for the stone trough along side the gated entrance, and you have found us! Guests are welcome to use the lawn area in front of the Mews, whilst the other garden areas may be available if not in use by the family. There is ample free parking.

Nearby Bridgnorth is an attractive and historic market town, which the river Severn meanders through. It is home to the Severn Valley Steam Railway and is only 8 miles from the Heritage Centre of Ironbridge. Also nearby is the birthplace of the Modern Olympics, Much Wenlock, which is well worth a visit. Wootton Lodge Mews is situated in the small hamlet of Wootton, 4 miles from Bridgnorth, 11 miles from Kidderminster and 14 miles from Telford and Wolverhampton. In less than an hour you can be in Shrewsbury, Ludlow or Bishop's Castle or even the NEC on a good day! The nearby town of Bridgnorth has always boasted wealth of pubs, at one time the count reached 66, and there is still an amazing variety of hostelries/eateries, many of which we can personally recommend. Our local British, Indian, Spanish, Italian, French, Thai, and Chinese restaurants all have their own particular specialities and many also offer take away options. we would be only too happy to offer suggestions depending upon your preferences, or again, you could consult our Guest Information Book for further details.

We are usually around most of the time, but if not, we should always be available via our mobiles we have provided, in the Guest Information Book, the telephone numbers of friends who would be able to offer help and assistance if necessary. We do not offer a cooked breakfast service, however a continental style breakfast can be delivered for which we charge between £5 - £7 per person, and evening meals can also be similarly provided upon request.

Neighbourhood overview
A car is essential for getting around, even to the local (Farm) shops, as The Mews is situated between the two main roads which run into Bridgnorth itself, the A442 from Kidderminster and the A458 from Stourbridge. It isn't possible to walk along these roads, but there are some excellent walks and cycle trails around the vicinity, with the National Trust's Dudmaston Hall being only just over a mile away. We have extensive car parking available on site. There is no public transport available, however there are several good local taxi companies if needed, details of which are listed in our Guest Information book. Within a couple of miles of Wootton Lodge Mews there are four restaurants and a Tea Room. It is possible to walk to the Tea Room but you will need a car to access the restaurants. Again, these are listed in our Guest Book. There is a Saturday Park and Ride service into Bridgnorth itself, which some guests may find more convenient, as Saturdays are busy market days and parking may be tricky sometimes. Details of this service are in the Guest Handbook.
Other things to note
We provide tea, coffee, sugar and milk for all guests as well as all bed linen, towels, tea towels and toilet rolls plus soap, shampoo and shower gel. if there is anything you may have forgotten to bring with you, then please ask, we should be able to help!

Located in Bridgnorth, this apartment is in a rural area and in the mountains. Dudmaston Estate and Bridgnorth Station are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at West Midland Safari Park and Severn Valley Country Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Owl & Falconry Centre, or check out an event or a game at Aggborough Stadium.
