Keen walkers enjoy the Mary Webb trail, The Shropshire Way and walks in the Mortimer Forest as well as strolls along the river. Take a trip to the historic town of Shrewsbury, visit UNESCO World heritage Site Ironbridge Gorge, Stokesay Castle, Wenlock Priory and Severn Valley Railway. This is an all year round destination for an active or relaxing holiday. This stylish lodge, purpose built in 2020, has all your creature comforts and panoramic windows making the most of its waterside location overlooking the pool. Flooded with natural light the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is perfect to relax in and enjoy the view. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher with all the thoughtful little extras to rustle up a meal. If you are bringing your dog there are two stainless steel bowls and a few treats. The utility cupboard houses the washer/dryer and a separate WC by the front door . Enjoy morning coffee at the breakfast bar or a leisurely meal at the dining table, it is the perfect setting for you all to gather round, maybe slide back the doors and listen to the wildlife. After dinner settle down on the comfortable sofa, plan your activities, watch a film on the Smart TV with Netflix or light the wood burner and read a good book. To the left of the living area is the master bedroom with king size bed, Smart TV, dressing room and en suite shower room with shower and WC, enjoy a refreshing shower to start the day. To the right of the living area is the second bedroom with super king size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request) with Smart TV and en suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Enjoy a bubble bath or leisurely shower. Both the bedrooms have good quality linen, soft towels and fabulous views over the water to wake up to. Outside you have a private patio with table, chairs and BBQ overlooking the fishing pool with visiting wildlife, the private enclosed lawn and the lockable store with lighting accessed to the side of the lodge for your bikes or fishing gear. The lodge has a small wooded area to the rear of the lodge, perfect for picnics in the shade. It is set in 20 acres of grounds for you to explore. Fishing is available on site, situated on a 200 acre site which include five fishing pools (fishing passes can be purchased directly with the owner). Ample private parking on site.
