Head further into the town, which is only a 20 minute walk away, where you can delve into history at the Ludlow Museum, explore the remarkable Ludlow Castle which frequently hosts markets, fayres and concerts throughout the year, picnic in the picturesque Linney Riverside Park, or meet the locals and purchase fresh produce at the traditional open-air market which takes place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the year. Also on Sunday's there are specialist markets, such as antique, craft, makers market and food market. Also there are well renowned food festivals in May and September where people come from far afield to enjoy. Craven Arms is a good place to visit with Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Museum of Lost Content, as well the free adult outdoor fitness gym and a children's play area. Also close by is Mickey Millers play barn for the kids to expend some energy. Within the AONB, you will find the popular destinations of Church Stretton, home to the Rectory Wood and offering easy access to the Carding Mill Valley, the Long Mynd and the Acton Scott Working Farm Museum. Venture further afield to the bustling city of Hereford, where you will find the attractions of Hereford Cider Museum Trust, Hereford Cathedral, famous for the Mapa Mundi and chained library. Just over the Herefordshire border is the Black and White Heritage Trail with lovely Tudor and Elizabethan cottages. Adventure awaits at Roseland.
