Mongolian Yurts Fordhall Organic Farm, Market Drayton

Shropshire. Sleeps up to 6

Spend a magical glamping holiday in our Shropshire-made Mongolian yurts. Perfect for a romantic weekend break or a fun family holiday for up to 6 people. You have a wonderful secluded spot, offering total privacy, as we only offer the one unit so you have no neighbours (other than our livestock and the abundant wildlife!)

Nestled in their own private slice of our organic farm, our yurts bring you closer to the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The unique design of our two interconnected yurts provides shelter from the elements with a relaxing, cosy atmosphere.
Our yurts are fully equipped for the best glamping experience. Inside one of the yurts is everything you will need for a cosy night’s sleep. There is a comfy double bed and set of bunkbeds. In the other connected yurt is a living area, complete with dining area, seating, large sink and a wood burner. There is also a double sofa bed.

Just outside on the decked area, you’ll find a gas barbecue, gas hob and gas powered fridge. The outside bathroom contains a compost loo and camping shower. If you’d prefer an electric shower, this is available at certain times of day in the main building.

At the right time of year there is also an edible garden including marigolds, mint, gooseberries and damson trees. Meaning you won’t have to go far to go for a snack. You will be left to your own devices during your stay, you are free to explore our picturesque organic farm. We have farm trails weaving around the farm, which will take you around our pastures, woodland and along the river. Why not say hello to some of our friendly animals as you explore?

Our organic Farm Shop is a short walk away, where you can purchase delicious local produce to prepare in the yurts.

Our yurts are designed to help you reconnect with nature, with your loved ones and yourself. They are well and truly off-grid. For this reason we have no Wi-Fi facilities at the yurts. There are electricity sockets available for use at the farm in the main building, but with the Shropshire Hills as your playground, this is the perfect place to switch off!

The nature of our yurts and surroundings lends itself perfectly to all families; there are so many new experiences you can enjoy with your children whilst they learn about the natural world first hand.

Arthur’s Farm Kitchen is located right next door the the farm shop. Arthur's is run by the Fordhall Community Land Initiative, a charitable society set up to benefit the community. All profits from the café are re-invested within our educational and community work.

Our values

We are passionate about organic farming, and great-tasting seasonal locally-sourced food. All our meat comes fresh from Fordhall Farm and our vegetables and salads are sourced from an organic local producer. Learn about how we put our ethics into practice by checking out Our Values.
