Cottage In Somerset, Taunton

Somerset. Sleeps up to 2

This cottage is situated on the owner s farm, in a tranquil rural location between the Quantock Hills and Blackdown Hills Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, both of which provide miles of enjoyable scenic walks. For many, a visit to the West Country would be incomplete without a day or two spent at the beach, and this property is ideally located to allow guests to enjoy beaches on both the Somerset coast to the north, and the Dorset coast to the south. Also within easy reach of the property are the towns of Taunton, Glastonbury, and Street. The front door of this character cottage opens directly into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a charming space with a homely, cottagey feel. The lounge area is a relaxing space with a large feature fireplace which now houses the warming wood burner, which guests can enjoy from the inviting leather sofas. There is a TV/DVD here too, perfect for enjoying a film after a day of sightseeing. A dining table lies between the lounge and kitchen areas, next to which there are French windows opening onto the patio garden. At the far end of the room, the kitchen area offers an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge with ice compartment, whilst there is a separate shared laundry room with washing machines and a tumble dryer. The bathroom upstairs offers the best of both worlds, with a roll top bath, separate shower, and WC. Steep cottage style stairs lead to the spacious king size bedroom with apex ceiling and large wardrobe. Outside, there is a private patio garden directly outside the property with seating and BBQ, which leads to an undercover area, which allows guests to enjoy alfresco drinks no matter the weather. There is parking for two cars.
