Built in the late 1800’s for a gentleman JP, Widcombe Grange is an impressive stone built country house set in 22 acres of landscaped woodland on the Blackdown hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty. This large house to rent is available for big parties, country house weddings, holidays and more. The main house sleeps 14 people in 7 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms of which 3 are en suite. Additional accommodation in Keepers Cottage (20 metres from main house) sleeps a further 10 people in 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms 1 of which is en suite. Ground floor. Enter through a wide oak floored hallway. The stylish kitchen is fully equipped for your stay and the dining room can seat 24 guests with patio doors leading out to the courtyard. The drawing room (with log burner), sitting room and den (leading out to a patio) are all interconnected providing ideal space for easy living. One bedroom with en suite shower room provides easy access accommodation on this level. First floor. There are six bedrooms (and four shower/bathrooms of which two are en-suite) all have views over the estate. They are furnished with extremely comfortable beds and period furniture, many rooms retain their original fireplaces (not in use). Keepers Cottage. A delightful cottage with its own walled garden where you will find the heated pool. There is a fully fitted spacious kitchen and sitting area which leads on to two bedrooms and a shower room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two shower/bathrooms (one en suite). The Coach House. The new and sympathetically converted coach house provides an area for indoor games with table tennis, table football and a snooker table. It is also licensed for wedding civil ceremonies and makes an ideal party venue, as the games equipment can be easily moved to create plenty of space. The Grounds.
