This charming property enjoys a rural village location and has been in the same family since the 16th century. The owner has lovingly restored the former milling barn using oak construction sourced from the owner s woodland and the property has a stylish, contemporary finish throughout. Situated in the grounds of the owner s property, a warm welcome awaits you, yet your privacy is assured. Those who enjoy spending time in nature and indulging in outdoor pursuits such as country walks, bird watching and cycling, will love the fact that the property is just a short distance from the Shapwick Nature Reserve and RSPB Greylake Nature Reserve. Less than ten miles away is the famous Glastonbury Tor where you can walk up to the top and admire the amazing views. The town of Glastonbury itself makes a wonderful place for a day trip, with its atmospheric ruined abbey, legend steeped Chalice Well Gardens, its interesting range of unusual shops and independent eateries. For a bit of retail therapy, take a trip to Clarks Village Outlet Shopping in nearby Street which is within 7 miles. Or for water babies, head to Street s Greenbank heated outdoor pool just around the corner from the shopping outlet. For fishing enthusiasts, fishing can be arranged at nearby Kings Sedgemoor Drain (permit required). Other places of interest in the area include the wide sandy beach at Burnham on Sea, the cathedral city of Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves. Upon approaching this delightful property, it is clear just how much thought the owner has put into creating a relaxing and attractive holiday home. The huge open plan living space, comprising a lounge/kitchen/dining area, is unmistakably the heart of the property, with its communal areas making it easy to enjoy relaxing in the company of friends and family. The large windows and French doors flood the room with light, whilst the vaulted ceilings add an extra sense of space to this already impressive room. The stylish kitchen/dining area is at one end of the room and enjoys views out through the large windows to the garden and surrounding countryside. The kitchen area has been well designed and offers a double oven, gas hob, microwave, three fridges, a freezer and a dishwasher. There is ample space around the dining table to enjoy leisurely meals with family and friends, whilst the lounge area occupies the other end of the room and offers seating where you can catch up on your favourite TV programmes or watch a DVD. From the lounge area, stairs lead down to the lower ground floor where you will find two of the property's bedrooms. The first bedroom is a spacious king size room with an en suite shower and WC. The second bedroom on this floor is a double room and there is also a separate bathroom with a bath and WC. Completing this floor is the utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading back upstairs, the remaining two bedrooms can be found on the first floor. Here there is a spacious, light and airy king size room with a TV and large windows overlooking the gardens and countryside beyond. There is also a charming twin room and a separate bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. Heading outside, there are spacious gardens for guests to enjoy, which include a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ, an additional decked seating area, a large open lawn and a rose garden. From the open lawn area, a gate leads into the enclosed play paddock with plenty of space for all the family to enjoy the many outdoor games available. Off road parking is available for three cars adjacent to the property. Clay pigeon shooting (weather dependent) is available to book directly with the owner prior to stay who is a BASC coach, taking all levels from beginners upwards all equipment and tuition included.
