Nearby England's smallest city of Wells offers plenty of attractions steeped in heritage to explore, from the stunning Wells Cathedral to England's only complete medieval street Vicars' Close, all Grade I listed properties still housing the Vicars Choral choir since the the 14th century, it makes a fascinating stop on your tour of Wells. Home to the Bishops of Bath & Wells for over 800 years is Wells Bishop's Palace and Gardens, uniquely moated with a drawbridge and resident swans, it's a picturesque setting to enjoy, whilst you can learn about the techniques of modern cavers and the the geology of the area in Wells and Mendip Museum.
