One cottage is more child-focused and the other is more adult-focused, so it's great for multi-generational bookings, get the whole family together safely! On the edge of Frome with country views, but walkable into town, best of both worlds! Enjoy a wealth of features, including 2 wood burners, 2 kitchens, brass bath & ample lounging space

The space
Set on a spectacular hilltop with views across the Orchardleigh estate and across the Vallis Vale valley, this is the perfect spot to get away from it all. Wide sweeping panoramas and long walks along the river Frome, surrounding fields or woodlands, mean you can spend days here absorbing the natural beauty around you and enjoying outdoor adventures. The creative and vibrant town of Frome, with its amenities, is walkable (12 mins). These cottages are supremely comfy and spacious with a breakfast basket included.

The barn is split into two, with two separate entrances so both are segregated. Each dwelling is 800 sq ft, so the total space between them is 1600 sq ft, all on one floor. Each dwelling is pretty much identical apart from a few fittings here and there, both have 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4 each, 8 total. 2 Gas BBQ's

Here is a description of each one:

Fern Barn: This barn has 800sqft of space, so is really roomy compared to most Frome cottages. All on one floor, with bedrooms off the living room, with the master bedroom benefiting from an ensuite. 2nd bedroom has a shower room and loo also off the living room.

The kitchen/diner is a generous room for lounging over a coffee, reading a book and cooking up a storm with our resident cookbook by Deliciously Ella. All new appliances in the kitchen. We provide a breakfast hamper at checkin.

The Master Bedroom has a king-size (150cm wide) bed with a fluffy mattress topper and down pillows, perfect for snuggling up in this cosy country getaway.

The second bedroom has 2 x 90cm single beds with feather duvets and pillows, ideal for sharers or children. They can also be pushed together as a super king (180cm wide) bed, should you prefer this.

The cottage is well equipped for entertainment with a Marshall Acton II Speaker, an Amazon Firestick for hunkering down with Netflix, Amazon Prime, NOW TV or Disney+, lots of board games, and a whisky station.

The outdoor space has a large gate that opens to join them up and create one lovely big space for you and your family to enjoy, with views far reaching and sunsets galore.

>East Woodlands woods - spend the day in the woods and immerse your self in nature.

Other things to note
Please note that the barn complex forms part of an even larger complex of buildings, including two neighbours and ourselves, the hosts, who are 50 yards away. The barn is not visible from the road when you enter, you have to come up the drive of the main house. Additionally, you can see and hear the road from the garden, its usually pretty quiet but 8am/5pm can be more noticeable.

Please note re the brass bath, we provide Brass friendly shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and Bramley bubble bath. Please do not use your own products as they might erode the lacquer and discolour it, thanks.

This vacation home is located in Frome. Longleat Safari and Adventure Park and Center Parcs Longleat Forest are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Kilver Court and Artisan Quarter. Mill on the Brue and Bookbarn International are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including wildlife walks.
