Cheddleton Steam Railway, cycle trails, canal dayboat hire and superb walks are all easily accessible, also with golf available nearby. There are several National Trust properties to visit, Little Moreton Hall, Biddulph Grange Gardens, Quarry Bank Mill, Lyme Park, Tatton Park and Dunham Massey, all within easy reach, as well as Haddon Hall. Alton Towers for a day of thrill seeking, Macclesfield with its silk heritage museum, Stoke on Trent with pottery and china centres, and Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest are all worth a visit.
