Cheddleton Steam Railway, cycle trails, canal dayboat hire and superb walks are all easily accessible, also with golf available nearby. There are several National Trust properties to visit, Little Moreton Hall, Biddulph Grange Gardens, Quarry Bank Mill, Lyme Park, Tatton Park and Dunham Massey, all within easy reach, as well as Haddon Hall. Alton Towers for a day of thrill seeking, Macclesfield with its silk heritage museum, Stoke on Trent with pottery and china centres, and Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest are all worth a visit. Downstairs on the ground floor is a utility room which offers a washer/dryer and sink, great for leaving muddy wellies and wet coats before getting warm and cosy upstairs. Outside there is a private enclosed garden space with seating, perfect for dining alfresco in the warmer months. There is a nearby field which is great for running dogs off the lead.
