The farm is situated inbetween the two lovely villages of Butterton and Grindon overlooking the Manifold Valley. Nearby are the towns of Ashbourne, Leek and Buxton with a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Alton Towers is not far for the thrill seeker. Thores Cave and the Manifold Valley are just a short stroll away leading onto longer walks if you are feeling energetic. Waterhouses and Parsley Haye offer bicycle hire where you can head onto either the Tissington Trail or Manifold Valley. There are many picturesque villages and towns to explore all around with different attractions that would make a great day out for the family. Proceeding up the few steps that lead to the lodge, you enter the porch which opens into the lounge with its impressive double windows and striking views over the surrounding countryside. There is ample comfortable seating, TV/DVD and wood burner which is the perfect recipe for cosy evenings in. Leading through to the kitchen/dining area which has everything you need for a home away from home stay, including electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The dining table is situated next to the window enjoy breakfast with an amazing view. There are two bedrooms one super king size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request) and one twin zip and link bedroom (which can be made into a super king size on request). There is a shower room with shower and WC. Outside, there is a raised decked area with seating overlooking the surrounding countryside, a great space to relax as the sun goes down. There is plenty of wildlife can be spotted, if you are quiet. There is ample off road parking for two cars located next to the lodge.
