Alternatively, under an hour’s drive is the city of Derby, where you will find a wealth of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops to explore, in addition to attractions including Derwent Valley Mills, Kedleston Hall and Donington Park. You also have Alton Towers nearby, and day trips to Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock are not to be missed.
