The cottage has a double and a twin room, a bathroom, kitchen and sitting room. Outside is off road parking for two cars, a private patio garden with furniture and a barbecue and shared use of the owners' lawn. Wren Cottage is ideal for riders wishing to holiday with their horse, or for families or couples looking to explore the beautiful Peak District. Note: Stabling available at additional cost, contact the owners for details. Note: Shared use of washing machine and tumble dryer in owners utility.

Town: Set in a lovely countryside location the charming village of Rudyard boasts an interesting claim to fame. Alice Macdonald and her fiancé Lockwood Kipling met on the shores of the nearby lake and so decided to name their first-born son after the place. Rudyard Kipling, born in 1865 went on to become a world renowned poet, novelist and short story writer. As well as this fateful lake, the Staffordshire village boasts excellent picnic spots, boating, walking and fishing opportunities as well as the steam railway. The thriving town of Leek is nearby and offers a variety of good pubs and restaurants as well as many antique shops. The beautiful Manifold Valley offers further walking opportunities with the "Manifold Trail" an excellent route through superb scenery for walkers and cyclists.
