You will find walking and cycling directly from the doorstep. Waterhouses village was once the terminus of the Manifold Valley Light Railway, now the scenic Manifold Cycle Track, which winds its way through the picturesque valleys of the rivers Hamps and Manifold. The track is flat and traffic free for cyclists, walkers and horse-riders. The village offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat.
Why not head to the nearby charming towns of Ashbourne or Leek and take advantage of their wide range of amenities and attractive architecture. For the thrill-seekers, a visit to the Alton Towers Theme Park is a must. This really is the most fabulous, tranquil location to enjoy a break at any time of the year.
