Harpur Cottage is a three-bedroom terraced stone cottage built in 1860 located on the outskirts of the popular town of Buxton, Derbyshire at the edge of the Peak District. A perfect spot to base yourself for exploring the hills and valleys of the surrounding area or exploring the spa town of Buxton. The property features three bedrooms and sleeps up five guests with two queen size beds and a single. There is a washer/dryer available for guests use and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen also features a chalk wall where you, or your little ones can show off their creative side! The spacious living room has a flat screen, smart tv and an electric fireplace for your use. The bathroom is located on the 2nd floor and features a large bathtub and shower. In terms of outdoor space, there is a small paved enclosed patio and garden at the front of the property with a table and chairs to watch the world go by, and the rear of the property has access to a shared laneway for kids to play outdoors safely away from traffic. Explore your local surroundings, where you will find the popular attractions of Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, The Pavillion Gardens and Solomon’s Temple just a short walk away! Those feeling a little more adventurous can explore the depths of Poole’s Cavern & Buxton Country Park, or if that isn’t your thing, why not test out your swing at the excellent Cavendish Golf Club or enjoy a truly unique evening at the Buxton Opera House? The town has well-stocked for convenience stores and the welcoming eateries of The Parks Inn, The Hoffman Bar and The Old Sunn Inn, along with the Buxton Brewery where you can sample the local ales. Take advantage of the Peak District National Park being a short drive away, where you can enjoy scenic walks, the historic sites of Pilsbury Castle and the Ruin of Errwood Hall, or the fascinating caverns of Blue John, Speedwell and Peak at the popular destination of Castleton. Be sure to visit Bakewell whilst in the area, where you can sample the famous Bakewell Pudding, delve into history at the Bakewell Old House Museum or tour the esteemed Chatsworth House with its lavish interior and vast gardens.
