Butterton Moor Cottage set in the stunning Peak District National Park sleeps 4 guests is a pretty cottage . A large country dining kitchen will seat 4 guests comfortably and includes all the culinary equipment needed to cater for a family. There is a cosy living room with plenty of comfy sofa space for everyone to relax and unwind. A small selection of childrens' toys, family games and DVD's, along with SkyQ and WiFi provide great indoor entertainment.

Butterton Cottage has 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, sleeping 4 people. There is a small cosy bunk bed room sleeping 2 and a large king size bedroom with plenty of wardrobe and storage space and an ensuite shower room. An additional bed for a child or teenager can be provided on request for a small charge and we have travel cots and bedding, high chairs and night lights always available at no charge.

The Cottage has a private terrace and BBQ with a table and chairs seating 4 along with a private garden looking out across the fields. Other outside spaces provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful location. The outdoor cooking area includes a fantastic pizza oven, and a big outdoor fireplace for cosy evenings and marshmallow toasting. In addition there is a separate garden with large lawns, which is ideal for children to run and play, and a patio area with comfortable outdoor sofas and rugs, which is a great place to watch the sun set.

The beautiful warm indoor swimming pool is housed in part of the old barn and is a great place to unwind after a busy day out and about. The pool has a lovely seating area for non swimmers to sit and watch and a changing area and separate toilet. Pool availability is detailed below. Next door to the pool is the snooker room with a full size antique snooker table, which is the only adults only space.

Set across the courtyard from the Loft is Butterton Cottage, which sleeps 4, offering opportunities for families wanting to holiday together in separate accommodation.

Butterton Loft is very close to some really great places to visit including Alton Towers theme park, the stunning Chatsworth House and the beautiful Peak District villages. We can recommend places locally to ride horses, go sailing or hire canal boats and we have some stunning walks right on the doorstep including the Manifold Valley and Thors Cave.
There are 2 super pubs serving great locally sourced food just a couple of minutes away and a host of others within 10 or 15 minutes that are all worth a visit!

Shared Spaces
The 2 holiday cottages at Butterton Moor House share some of the wonderful facilities on offer, such as the swimming pool, the pizza oven area and the billiards room. Guests are normally happy to agree times to use these areas between themselves although we are happy to facilitate if needed.

Generally we ask guests to use the shared facilities between the hours of 09:00 and 21:00, however, let us know if you would like to use any areas outside these times and we will be as accommodating as possible.

Pool Availability
The swimming pool is also used by our local community on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and therefore is not available between approximately 0930 and 1730 on these days, however you are free to swim before or after these times. On all other days the pool is solely for our guests to use. Throughout Christmas there is no local community swimming and the pool is solely for guests during the holiday period.

Guests having Visitors for the Day
Guests are welcome to have visitors and we would appreciate being informed in advance when this is the case. Our insurers will not cover us for a guests visitors to use the facilities, therefore, the swimming pool is for residential guests only.

Areas Not For Guest Use
We want all our guests to have a safe and enjoyable stay and The only areas not available to guests are the stable yard, where there is occasionally farm machinery moving around, and the fields surrounding the property where our often unpredictable horses graze!

Animals at Butterton Moor House
Please NEVER feed the horses or ponies unless accompanied by ourselves. Let us know if you would like to meet the animals as we are happy to introduce our guests to our more friendly horses and ponies and help our younger visitors give them a carrot!

We have dogs in our family at Butterton Moor House; a beautiful black Labrador called Bandit, a red Labrador called Willa and 2 very naughty Dachshunds called Jazz and Elf. The dogs are not allowed into any holiday cottage accommodation, no matter how longingly they look at you, but if you would like to meet our dogs let us know!

Smoking
All of our holiday accommodation and facilities are totally non smoking but If you need to smoke please ask for ash trays and only smoke outside but well away from the stable yard area. Please make sure all cigarettes are fully extinguished before leaving them as we are situated in an area known for grass fires during long dry spells.
Terms and Conditions Relating to Dogs in the Cottage

Bringing Your Dog to Butterton Moor Cottage
As dog lovers we certainly understand the desire to bring your four legged family members on holiday with you. We hope you will understand that for the safety enjoyment of other guests and to safeguard our business we will expect all guests who stay with their dogs to comply with the following terms and conditions at all times.

1. We want everyone to have a lovely holiday, so in the interests of other guests safety and enjoyment we will only accept friendly, non aggressive and quiet dogs. A dog will not be allowed on site and the guest will be asked to leave the property if a dog is:
- Aggressive or threatening towards other people or dogs
- Aggressive or threatening towards livestock or horses
- Noisy to the extent that it is preventing other guests from enjoying their holiday

2. Due to the size of Butterton Cottage we can only accept a maximum of 2 dogs.

3. In the interest of guests safety, especially children, we regret that we cannot accept any dog breeds classified under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

4. Dogs must always be properly controlled and supervised and must be on a lead at all times when outside of the boundaries of Butterton Cottage.

5. Dogs must not be left unattended within the property or gardens at any time.

6. To be able to keep our cottage in great condition for all our guests dogs are not permitted in bedrooms, bathrooms or on any furniture. Therefore we advise you to bring a dog basket and bedding for your dog as needed.

7. Guests are expected to clean up after their dogs both inside the Cottage and outside in the garden. There is a poop scoop for the garden area and a dedicated bin for dog waste. At the end of your holiday please re-check the garden then tie the bin bag up and place it in the blue bin in the courtyard before you leave.

8. Any damage to the property or additional cleaning required as a result of a dog will be charged to the guest in all cases.
