Deepwell Granary Is A Lovely Thatched Barn With Attached Meadow Woodland, Buxhall

Suffolk. Sleeps up to 2

Beautiful  - Stylish - Rural - Elegant

A stunning thatched barn conversion in a lovely rural area with a fully enclosed garden and a large meadow woodland to enjoy.

The Experience

The thatched Deepwell Granary is part of a stunning Grade II listed building dating from the C16th to serve the farm 'small holding' at Deepwell.
This cottage has a private enclosed garden and there is also a large wildflower meadow and wooded garden to enjoy with campfires, hammocks and seating for you to dream away the sunny days.
Deepwell, where the owners also live, is set in the pretty vale of Buxhall. This is a magical countryside retreat.

The owners welcome their guests with a Breakfast Hamper pack including eggs, apple juice, real coffee, tea, olive oil salt and pepper.

Cottage Walk Through

The Granary has a private off road car park and an enclosed garden with a fire pit and outside seating area.

The front door takes you into a hallway, with the luxury shower bathroom to one side and then into the main room.

Downstairs is a large double height open plan room with the original timber frame exposed, and a large floor to ceiling window with views to the garden.

The comfortable sofa faces a cosy gas flame fire - this being a sensible alternative to a wood burning one due to the ancient thatched roof :) The room forms an L shape and within that is a modern well laid out kitchen.

Leading from this beautiful and airy ground floor is an open staircase which brings you to the gallery level, containing the luxury bedroom and reading area, this overlooks the open plan area beneath and out onto the garden.

Please note that this cottage can only accept one infant – please do not book in more infants as we will have to decline the booking – sorry.

Pets: We can accept up to 2 well behaved doggies in this cottage (or cats ), the price is £25 pw per dog or £15 for less than a week – this payment can be taken after booking.

The Gardens

You have your own private enclosed garden to enjoy meals, or sit beside the fire pit and relax with an evening drink.

Just off the drive to the Granary you enter a magical two acre area of grassy woodland glades, lawns and orchard. Here you can take a stroll around, swing from trees, lie in a big hammock, or light up the fire pit and enjoy a sun downer by the pretty French table and chairs, and enjoy the views over the rolling countryside.

If you are feeling a bit more active then you can play boules, badminton or croquet as there is ample space and all equipment is supplied.

Outside

Set in the rural Vale of Buxhall, surrounded by gentle rolling hills and views across the fields; Deepwell Granary is in an area of beautiful countryside, woods and arable farmland.

There are plenty of footpaths for walking, local picturesque villages to visit and good pubs to investigate.

You can walk across the fields to The Buxhall Crown which is just 25 minutes away, for a well-earned pint and a very decent meal.
