Walkers can take to the Sailors path and walk to Aldeburgh along the beautiful riverside then on your return there are no fewer than three pubs in the village itself. Walk over the Snape Bridge to find the Plough and Sail pub and restaurant which is attached to the Snape Maltings an arts complex hosting the world renowned Concert Hall and the Britten Peers Festival as well as shops galleries and cafes all overlooking the beautiful Snape marshes and Alde river. For lovers of the coast you will be delighted to know that the Suffolk seaside only a short drive away. The small town of Aldeburgh’s pebble beach, great independent shops, local museum and award winning fish and chip shops add up to an excellent day out, as do Orford, Southwold and RSPB Minsmere which are also close by.
