Occupying a superb setting in the heart of the vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk, Shrimper’s Cottage is immaculately presented and is the perfect place to visit for couples or a small family. The property has retained some original features helping to create a lovely rustic vibe but at the same time, comes complete with all the mod cons any discerning visitor would expect. The open-plan living space is warm and inviting with a generous seating area arranged around the woodburning stove, where you can imagine curling up with a favourite drink and enjoying quality time together. There are some attractive features here including wood flooring, cottage windows, original cast iron radiators and that all-important woodburner, which all add up to produce a welcoming, rustic ambience. Step into the fully fitted kitchen, which has all that is needed to produce delicious food for you and your loved ones. When the food is ready to serve, pull up a chair at the cottage-style dining table which is the perfect spot to enjoy long, lazy meals together and really get into the holiday spirit. Should the sun be shining, you can take your meal outside into the enclosed courtyard garden and enjoy time drinking and dining alfresco. When bedtime calls, the king-size bedroom is all set up to welcome guests with a sumptuous king-size bed and tasteful soft furnishings adding up to make a calming and relaxing space. The single bedroom is just as inviting and offers a chilled out room, ideal for resting your weary head after a tiring day. Grab a refreshing shower in the morning and a quick coffee at the patio table in the courtyard and you’re good to go. The charming town of Aldeburgh is within walking distance and here you will find a good choice of shops, boutiques, bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as a pebble beach and a selection of brightly coloured beach huts for which it is well known. A little further up the coast and you have the delightful town of Thorpeness as well as Southwold, famous for its pier and the picture-postcard village of Walberswick is also well worth a visit. If you want to get close to nature then you’ve come to the right place; check out Orford Ness Nature Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Easton Farm Park. For something more active, pay a visit to attractions such as Go Ape Thetford, Bewilderwood and Ellough Park Karting Circuit, or if getting into the swing of golf is more your thing then you must visit courses at Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold, Halesworth and Woodbridge.
