You'd be excused for not noticing this charmingly understated 1920s bungalow whilst walking by, but beyond its modest and unassuming exterior is an utterly fabulous coastal retreat. Set just a few yards from the sand dunes and the town's iconic Gun Hill, this charming holiday home has been lovingly renovated and furnished to create the perfect haven to escape the daily routine and enjoy the serene side of Southwold.
There's a contemporary coastal feel throughout this holiday home with crisp white walls, rich blues and pops of colour throughout. The living areas are filled with light and enjoy views over the garden and beyond to the marshes. The bedrooms (one double and one twin) offer comfort and luxury with 100% cotton bedding, blackout curtains and ample storage. The kitchen is superbly equipped with all the gadgets you could need during your stay including dishwasher, washer drier and Nespresso machine.
Outside the list of benefits continues. The mature garden is fully enclosed so there's no need to worry whilst the youngest members of the holiday party run around to their heart's content. The BBQ and outdoor dining table and chairs offer a more relaxed way to enjoy this tranquil setting, perhaps enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sun go down. There is also plenty of off-street parking at Number 5, a rare jewel in Southwold.
Number 5 would suit a family of four looking for a seaside escape in Southwold or a couple or small group of adults in search of a quiet retreat to enjoy the beauty of the Suffolk Coast.
