Well Green is a beautiful and cosy 17th century beamed cottage which has undergone a stunning renovation. It is located opposite the village green in the picturesque hamlet of Blackheath near Wenhaston, set within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Perfect for couples and small families with front and rear gardens and a lovely summerhouse to enjoy.

Ideal for couples and small families, there are lots of opportunities for numerous family and dog walks on the Suffolk Wildlife Trust heath and marsh commons straight from the door. Both the village pub and shop are within easy walking distance and there is a bus stop close by with services into Southwold and Halesworth.

Your stay begins by entering the delightful picket gate and walled front garden which is a suntrap in the warmer months. A spacious sitting area features two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The open-plan kitchen and dining space is complete with a large table to seat guests and friends. With skylight above, the area is airy and bright. The fully equipped kitchen means it is possible to prepare meals if you prefer to stay in. The ground floor is finished with a cloakroom area and a separate shower room with underfloor heating, basin, and WC.

Upstairs comprises two bedrooms - a master double and a twin - with clothes storage on the landing area.

The summerhouse in the terraced rear garden has a wood burning stove for cool evenings and is furnished with a large corner sofa and chairs. The rear patio has a table with seating extending to a lawned garden with summerhouse. The front garden has further seating and a lock-up storage shed for bicycles.

Blackheath (Wenhaston) is the perfect location to explore East Suffolk and this cottage offers a tranquil heathland spot to rest and enjoy after all your adventures!

Additional information:
Some of the rooms have low ceilings, so the cottage is not ideally suitable for anyone taller than six feet.
The stairs are quite steep but there is a handrail.
The immediate neighbouring property has ducks, chickens, and a cockerel.
One small well behaved dog is welcome; please note there are a number of small gaps through to the adjacent property, so dogs should be kept on leads in the garden.

This cottage is located in Halesworth. Suffolk Coast and Heaths and Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include RSPB Minsmere and Pier. Oasis Camel Park and Henstead Exotic Gardens are also worth visiting. Sailing and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.
