NEW TO THE MARKET FOR 2022, this charming holiday cottage has been renovated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and is located in one of the best positions in Southwold, making it ideal for a seaside holiday or short break with family and friends.

GROUND FLOOR
Bonheur has a small porch where the front door opens into the long hallway with the living room and dining rooms off to the right, kitchen at the end and stairs with handrail rising to the first floor. The stairs are typical of a period cottage, relatively steep and narrow with a handrail all the way to steady you The stairs and all upstairs rooms (other than the bathroom and WC) are carpeted.

LIVING ROOM
A lovely sunny room with bay window giving a view of the green and St Edmund’s Church. Two two-seater sofas and an armchair give plenty of room to relax and watch the TV or tune into the Smart Speaker.

DINING ROOM
This charming room has a window opening onto the little courtyard the the room’s furnished with an oval table with six chairs, an attractive cabinet with serving bowl and a side table.

KITCHEN
Sitting at the back of the cottage with a stable door opening onto the garden. Equipment includes an electric free standing oven with separate grill and gas hob, a microwave, an under counter fridge, a countertop mini freezer, a free standing dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee maker (please bring your own original style pods), a kettle and toaster.

FIRST FLOOR
Carpeted stairs rise to the first-floor landing which stretches from the bathroom at the back to the bunk room at the front with a step mid-way, doors to the twin and main bedrooms and a long wardrobe with chest of drawers in it. There’s also a door to the stairs leading to the family room on the top floor.

MAIN BEDROOM
Sun streams into this charming bedroom which has an ornamental fireplace and a bay window overlooking the green with view of the church too. The impressive king size bed takes pride of place. There’s storage in a built in wardrobe and chest of drawers and a handsome bench sits in the window.

TWIN BEDROOM
A pretty room with ornamental fireplace sitting quietly at the back of the house with wrought iron twin beds, bedside drawers and chest of drawers. If you’d like this room made as a super king, please let us know in advance. The beds don’t zip together but you will have a super king mattress protector and duvet on them.

BUNK BEDROOM
Also overlooking the green, this room has full size bunk beds which are sturdy enough for an adventurous adult and there’s a small chest of drawers.

DRESSING ROOM
Furnished as a multipurpose room with a wardrobe, cute sofa and dressing table with chair which can double up as a desk if needed.

BATHROOM
Lovely modern bathroom with full size bath and adjustable hand shower over, WC, wash basin, natural light and heated towel rail with towels provided.

WC
An additional toilet at the top of the stairs.

TOP FLOOR
A door (with high catch) opens onto the steep carpeted stairs to the family room exclusively. There’s no banister but walls on either side to stead you if needed.

FAMILY ROOM
A great addition for guests wanting a bit of peace and quiet, kids wanting to escape from the adults or guests wanting a bit of peace and quiet. Furnished with a sofa, unit with TV and Smart Speaker.

OUTSIDE
Bonheur is tucked away in a cul de sac next to the beautiful St Edmunds Church with Bartholomew Green in front of the mid terraced house, making this one of the quieter locations in central Southwold. To the rear of the property is a small courtyard area with a table and bench. There’s secure undercover space to store pushchairs and bikes. There’s a gate across neighbours garden and down onto Victoria Street for emergency exit only.

There’s no allocated parking for the cottage, however there are usually spaces directly outside the house with a two-hour time restriction between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday and there are bays next to the church with unrestricted parking on a first come basis.
Please note that Bonheur is strictly for six guests only and guests must not sleep in the family room on the third floor as there is no fire escape.

This vacation home is located in Southwold. St Edmund's Church and St Peter's Church, Wenhaston are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Pier and Henstead Exotic Gardens.
