On an elevated position overlooking The Highlands, Sealladh Mor is a detached, single-storey cottage on the outskirts of Rogart, Sutherland. Sealladh Mor translates to Big View in Gaelic, and it certainly does live up to it with panoramic view of the beautiful Scottish Highlands from the doorstep. The cottage is a welcoming base for two couples or a group of four to explore a breath-taking region of Scotland, complete with a hot tub, utility and woodburning stove. Park up in the off-road parking space and take a moment to admire the sweeping countryside views of your rural retreat. Step inside to find a reception area with hooks for coats and a bench to take your boots off and make yourself at home; your first stop will surely be the kitchen/diner to pop the kettle on, stock up the cupboards and get ready to rustle up home-cooked meals using the contemporary facilities. Set the dining table for four and enjoy a meal together with views out to the mountains, or why not open the French doors to let the outside in? There's a decking area and lawn to make the most of your idyllic holiday setting, whether that's a cold glass of wine at sunset, reading in the sunshine or sinking into the hot tub for the ultimate de-stress. If you're visiting in the colder months, a spacious sitting room offers a sofa, two chairs, a Smart TV and woodburning stove to snuggle up after the day's adventures; you'll still get fabulous views from the large windows for a bright and airy space to relax on your holiday. Extra seating can be found in the snug with a Smart TV to savour some peace and quiet! After trekking The Highlands and wandering the countryside, throw muddy walking gear into the utility's laundry facilities, before hanging your towel on the family bathroom's heated towel rail and enjoying a soak in the bath or a hot shower. Two well-appointed bedrooms await sleepy heads, one of which has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room for added privacy. Get to know your surroundings by venturing into the open countryside or joining the Highland Wild Cat Trails, which have been designed for all levels of experience with different routes suitable for families and novices through to more technical trails for experienced mountain bikers. Also nearby is the Ben Bhraggie Monument Walk, which offers picturesque views over the coastline on your walk up to the summit.
