The Space:
Mowbray Road is a recently refurbished two-bedroom apartment with plenty of homely features throughout. The living and dining space sits at the heart of the apartment and has a cosy and welcoming feel. Featuring a two-seater sofa, two comfy chairs and a wall mounted flat screen TV, this is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the local area.
The dining area features a dining table and bench set which comfortably seats all guests. Whether you’re ordering a takeaway or cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you can enjoy relaxed dining at Mowbray Road.
The kitchen is fully equipped for a self-catering break. This is a modern and pristine space with white, high shine kitchen cabinets and light grey tiles. The kitchen features an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and a fridge-freezer in addition to dinnerware, cutlery and glassware.
The modern and clean bathroom boasts a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC, and basin.
You’ll enjoy your night’s sleep at Mowbray Road as the double bed in the master bedroom features a comfy mattress along with premium bedding and linens. There is a neutral colour scheme which is complimented with a yellow bed throw and patterned cushions.
The second bedroom is home to two single beds so it’s ideal for families staying with children and teenagers. Ample storage space is provided for your belongings, so you can make yourself at home.
When staying at Mowbray Road, you’ll have use of two outdoor spaces. At the rear is an enclosed yard offering a table and chairs for outdoor dining, along with solar lights and an outbuilding which guests are welcome to use for storage. Head to the front of the property and you’ll find a small, paved area surrounded by well-kept bushes.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Free on-street parking is available on the surrounding streets on a first come, first served basis.
A maximum of two dogs are welcome to stay at Mowbray Road per stay.
The Neighborhood:
Mowbray Road is located in the coastal town of South Shields on the south bank of the River Tyne. Sandhaven Beach was recently named as one of the North East’s top beaches and with beautiful stretches of golden sands and sand dunes, it’s easy to see why. Great for family days out, your breath will be taken away at Sandhaven Beach.
If it’s a short walk you’re after, then why not take a stroll along the stunning coastal route known as ‘The Leas’. Also great for cycling, running and dog walking, this route has something for everyone.
The cities of Newcastle and Sunderland are also both within short driving distance from South Shields. In both, you’ll find an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars so guests will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds during their stay in South Shields.
Getting Around:
South Shields is on the Tyne & Wear Metro system so you’ll have direct rail access into Newcastle, Gateshead, Whitley Bay and Tynemouth.
Hop on the ferry across the River Tyne and you’ll be in North Shields.
The 27 bus route runs from South Shields into the centre of Newcastle with stops in Hebburn and Gateshead.

Located by the sea, this apartment is in Westoe, a neighborhood in South Shields. The Customs House and Bede's World are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Port Of Tyne and Hadrian's Wall Path - East. Ocean Beach Pleasure Park and The Marsden Grotto are also worth visiting.
