The Barn is a stunning barn conversion tucked away in the Peak District National Park in Holme near Holmbridge. With the countryside on your doorstep, this is the perfect getaway for a family who want to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Ample off-road parking greets you on arrival, along with panoramic views of the moorland and peaks surrounding the stone-built abode. Make your way through the stable door and be mesmerised by a contemporary open-plan living space, with a solid oak staircase taking centre stage. To the right of the staircase is a delightful sitting area, with a plush corner sofa for you to get comfortable on as you watch your favourite show on the Smart TV; an additional armchair can be found by the tri-folding doors and makes for a perfect reading spot! Continue over to the stylish Shaker-style kitchen, a space boasting top-of-the-line appliances and sleek, granite worktops, perfect for the foodies of the group. When dinner is ready, gather your group at the dining table and crack open a bottle of wine as you plan you catch up about your countryside ramblings. A handy utility room is adjacent to kitchen and hosts a washer/dryer; ideal for when you need to wash your mud-clad clothes after a walk or cycle. Make your way upstairs, as the evening comes to an end, and find two magnificent bedrooms, one being a king-size featuring exposed beams, mullion windows and a high, vaulted ceiling, giving the space a characterful feel. Across the way is a bunk room making great use of the space. Both rooms are accompanied by contemporary en-suite shower rooms with spacious walk-in showers, walls adorned with white tiles and toasty underfloor heating. Relish the quaint surroundings on the front patio or walled garden as you enjoy a morning coffee and bask in the sun as you look out over those glorious sights. In the village, the nearby Fleece Inn is a great spot for when you don't feel up to cooking; after savouring a pint, venture to the Brownhill Reservoir for a leisurely stroll, or embark on the Longdendale Trail. Travel to Holmfirth and marvel at live entertainment at The Picturedrome, before enjoying dinner at one of the town's many eateries, one being the delectable Whippet & Pickle restaurant with its friendly service and high-quality dishes. Travel north to Meltham and pay a visit to the local golf club for a game, go picnicking in the pretty Meltham Pleasure Garden, before travelling a little further afield to the enchanting Folly Dolly Falls waterfall. Make the most of the Peak District and spend your days wandering through its picturesque towns and villages; or venture further away from the National Park to Marsden Moor and Huddersfield for lovely days out. There is so much fun to be had at The Barn.
