This Boutique country retreat tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside offers an idyllic stay for up to 6 guests.
Converted in 2020 from a 17th century brick-built farm building, The Barn offers guests a luxurious stay in a unique setting perfect for exploring Wiltshire. It is at the foot of the Wessex Downs, close to the Kennet and Avon Canal, a short drive from the ancient market town of Devizes, within reach of Avebury, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath and only 30 minutes from the M4.
As you enter The Barn you are greeted by a smart entrance lobby offering ample space for coats and shoes, a door then leads onto a spacious and serene open plan living area. The contemporary kitchen is generously equipped with all you require for a home from home stay complete with full size fridge freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the utility area. The dining table comfortably seats 6 and there are ample cutlery, crockery and wine glasses to enjoy a relaxed evening meal.
The bright lounge with its vaulted ceilings and exposed beams is simply breath-taking. Elegantly furnished with two large sofas and original artwork by the owner of the property, there is a log burner for those cosy nights in. Double patio doors lead from the lounge onto the terrace where you will find a table and chairs making it easy to serve spontaneous outdoor meals. A Netflix enabled Tv and sound bar can be comfortably viewed from the sofas.
To the rear of the property on the ground floor, there is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and log burner. A single door leads down three small steps onto the lawned gardens and large patio doors lead onto a large terrace, ideal for alfresco dining or a morning coffee.
The ground floor cloakroom at the bottom of the stairs comprises toilet, basin and shower cubicle.
On the first floor you will discover two further double bedrooms comprising double beds, built in wardrobes and dressing tables. All bedrooms are bright and airy with luxurious linens and towels provided. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and sumptuous interiors bring a comfortable warm stay to our guests.
The indulgent main bathroom is positioned between the two bedrooms and comprises toilet, basin, full size bath and separate shower cubicle. On site you can make use of the tennis court, explore the paddocks and copse, ideal for walking or picnicing and venture into the Shepherds Hut should you stumble across it.
