Built in the 1700s and conveniently situated next door to the local village pub, 1 Broughwood Cottage has retained all of its beautiful wooden beams and stonework, and at the heart of the cottage is a stunning inglenook fireplace with cosy wood burning stove. The property has undergone a full and very high quality refurbishment, overseen by an exclusive interior designer from the area. The stylish and modern interiors blend seamlessly with the endless characterful features throughout, making this a perfect Cotswolds getaway any time of year.
Inside, the well-equipped kitchen comes complete with a wine fridge, electric Aga and breakfast bar area. The spacious sitting and dining room is home to the cottage’s original inglenook fireplace, ideal for those chilly winter evenings, whilst during the summer months, bi-folding doors open up onto the furnished patio area and country cottage garden which enjoys uninterrupted views of the rolling Cotswold hills. Upstairs are three tastefully furnished double bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and bedrooms two and three have use of the family bathroom with a beautiful free-standing bath and overhead shower.
With views directly over the old church from all front windows, and the rolling hills of The Cotswolds to the rear, this is the most perfect setting to experience the wonderful Cotswold life.
Snowshill is idyllically situated within the Cotswold hills which rise steeply around the village on three sides and is well known for its exceptional unspoilt beauty and for the views over the Severn Vale to the west. An ancient road called Buckle Street crosses the parish and Snowshill Manor, owned by the National Trust, a beautiful building in Snowshill with picturesque gardens. For those wanting to explore the Cotswolds on foot, there are many walks on the doorstep, including the famous Cotswold Way which passes straight by the front door.
