The Malvern Hills are a 9-mile long range of ancient rock with 100 miles of trails and bridleways, as well as natural springs and breathtaking views in every direction, earning them designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition to fishing and river cruises, other nearby outdoor activities include high ropes, climbing, and abseiling. There are a number of gardens and vineyards in the area that are owned by the National Trust, and they are all very convenient to visit. Drive just a few minutes and you'll be at the Three Counties Showground, site of many annual events such as RHS Malvern (in May), the Royal Three Counties Show (in June), and the Malvern Autumn Show (in October) (September). Tewkesbury, Hereford, and the Wye valley are all within a day's drive, as is Worcester, one of the Three Choirs Festival cities. Gloucester, with its historic dockyard, Monmouth and the Forest of Dean, and Cheltenham, home to a number of festivals, are all within easy driving distance thanks to the proximity of the M5 and M50 motorways. Day trips can be taken without needing a car due to the proximity of rail and bus connections. A fantastic holiday destination whenever you choose to take one.
