Hayling Island Beachlands Central is set in an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest SSSI at the centre of Hayling Seafront between the Fairground to the East and Inn on the Beach to the West. The Beach is accessible by foot, bike and bus from local holiday parks, guest houses and hotels. A bus service is available from Havant Railway station. Seafront parking is provided.Beachlands Central benefits from “excellent” water quality. There is a zoned area for bathing, Stand Up Paddleboards and kayaks. More extreme water sports are catered for to the West of the Blue Flag Beach and the public kite surfing area at Chichester Avenue.Hayling Seafront is a Dog friendly area with provision to walk dogs both to the East and West of Beachlands Central. Dogs are however not permitted on the Blue Flag Beach between 15th May and 6th September 2020. There is no Lifeguard Service however Beach Patrols operate between the hours of 10am - 5pm daily, the beach is litter picked daily to maintain a clean fresh environment. Beachlands Central is somewhere, natural and scenic, unspoilt to walk, swim, paddle or simply sit, reflect and admire the views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Beachlands Central offers something for all the family from the thrills and spills of a traditional funfair to the ability to experience for one of the most valuable of ecological environments featuring rare examples of intertidal plants and coastal birds. Stock up for your day at the beach from a wide range of local shops or eat at the many traditional seaside cafes and restaurants.
