Location map of 'Crooklets' Blue Flag certified beach

Crooklets is located on the northern side of Bude and can be reached by a short walk over the Summerleaze Downs or down the hill from the town centre. From mid to high tide Crooklets is a relatively narrow pebble beach but as the tide drops the beach opens out considerably providing an expanse of sand that merges not only with Summerleaze to the south but also to Maer Beach and Northcott to the north. The beach is fringed with rock outcrops which are a home to a range of intertidal flora and fauna and are ideal for exploring and rock-pooling.Crooklets beach has great facilities including a large car park, level access and viewing area, a play area, skate park, beach cafe, showers and pubs close by. There are also a number of beach huts available for daily hire, which have recently been refurbished.
