Located three miles to the picturesque village of Fettercairn home to one of the oldest whisky distilleries and only two miles to Edzell, a beautiful village situated at the foothills of the Grampian Mountains. The Medieval Edzell Castle and colourful renaissance garden is well worth a visit as well as Dunnotar Castle near Stonehaven. Golfers are well catered for with two courses close by. Enjoy salmon fishing at nearby Esk and Westwater, Munro baggers can enjoy challenging hikes in Glen Clova and Glen Esk. Take a short trip along the coastline to discover the glorious sandy beaches at nearby St Cyrus and Lunan Bay or go further afield to Stonehaven Beach to explore the rock pools and enjoy an ice cream or fish supper as you walk along the promenade. Take the kids to The Den and The Glen amusement park and visit the surrounding farms in the area including Murton, Wyhford and Charleston with outdoor play areas, farm animals and pick your own strawberries and raspberries. Enter the charming period cottage from the garden into the hall, through to the light and bright comfortable lounge with TV and feature fire place. Next door you will find the beautiful second lounge/diner with wood burner, perfect for cosy nights in and dining area. Leading off the second lounge/diner is the study with desk and beautiful views over the rear garden. Followed by the well equipped kitchen, with electric oven with gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and wonderful countryside views. There is also rear door access into the cottage with a very handy boot room, perfect for storing outdoor clothing. Leading up the curved cottage style stairs you are met with two beautiful spacious king size bedrooms with plenty of storage space and magnificent views. Finally the bathroom with separate shower, corner bath and WC. Venture outside to the fully enclosed front and rear garden with two seating areas and BBQ. Perfect for al fresco dining, or to sit with your morning coffee or a wee dram and gaze up at the night sky. You may also get the opportunity to spot the regular visitors including Roe deer, red squirrels, barn owls, hare, rabbits, red kite and lots of garden birds. There is ample off road parking available at the back of the cottage.
