Garden Cottage is situated in the beautiful grounds of Finzean Estate, in the heart of Royal Deeside and is surrounded by rich woodland, heather hills and an abundance of wildlife. It has been sympathetically restored to provide very attractive and cosy accommodation in a secluded, peaceful environment. Visitors are welcome to explore the estate grounds, where fishing (no licence required), rough shooting, stalking and wildlife safari trips are available by arrangement with the gamekeeper. Finzean House was the former home of the renowned artist Joseph Farquharson and many of his works were based on the local scenery. There are fantastic walks at every turn, views aplenty and the cottage is ideally located for exploring the whole of Royal Deeside. Horse riding, golf and other numerous pastimes can all be accessed locally. This is a super choice for a truly relaxing break.

Finzean, meaning ’the fair place’ in Gaelic, is very beautiful and has been the home of the Farquharson family for 400 years, including the twelfth Laird, Joseph Farquharson R.A., who loved this place, and made it known in artistic circles all over the world. The estate also boasts a lovely farm shop and café, where visitors can enjoy homemade cakes and tea. A diverse range of activities including walking, birdwatching, and cycling are all available.

Garden Cottage, with its charming décor and spacious kitchen, is situated across the courtyard from Finzean House and as its name suggests, has a lovely sunny garden at the rear, ideal for enjoying the afternoon sun.

Garden Cottage can be booked together together with The Kennels (CC512080) and Deer Park Cottage (CC512081) to accommodate up to 14 guests.
