House of Mark Cottage in the highlands, offers a perfect opportunity to relax in one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland, the Cairngorms National Park. Our self-catering cottage is located in Glenesk, Angus, amongst dramatic mountain scenery with lots of things to do and places to visit.
This is a quaint, rustic cottage that allows you to get back to nature and relax. It is in an ideal location for putting the electronics away, reading, taking lovely walks, and enjoying the scenery and wildlife.
Ground floor:
Open-plan living/dining room with a wood-burning fire. Kitchen with tiled floor, shower room, and toilet. The Inclusive sitting/living room has a large viewing window to fields, hills, and beyond. Share meals together overlooking the scenic view.
There is a comfy and compact space to relax, watch TV or a film on the DVD player, read a book, have a chat, or just play a guitar. Free Wifi is available. Please, be aware that the Cottage has a broadband service and wi-fi can be connected on your arrival. Due to local limitations, the service may be slow.
The kitchen provides everything you could need, an electric cooker, toaster, kettle, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave.
Bathroom with a rain shower and WC. Towels and toiletries are provided, heating is included in the rent.
We supply the logs for your stay and there is ample parking.
First floor:
From the sitting room, a spiral staircase leads up to the comfortable bedroom with a double queen size bed and views over the mountains-though that means limited disabled access The Comfortable bedroom, where you can retreat after a day spent exploring, has panoramic views of the surrounding area through the huge roof window

We provide everything you could need for a comfy stay: kitchen, shower, toilet, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, and towels.

The cottage is surrounded by its own land making it ideal for those who want to simply be embraced by nature.
Surrounded by the Cairngorms Mountains only a 5-minute walk from Invermark Castle and to Loch Lee.

This romantic rural lodge is located at the top of Glenesk near Edzell, Brechin, and Montrose, just an hour drive from Aberdeen and Dundee, or two hours from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Drink and Food:
Take time and relax in our cottage with a fully fitted kitchen for self-catering. The closest shops and small supermarkets are in Edzell (30 to 40 minutes away). You can also order supermarket delivery.
Do & See:
There is a wealth of things to do and see in Glenesk and nearby. Walking, fishing, bird watching, horse riding, and cycling. Local attractions include Invermark Castle, Queen's Well, Loch Lee, Falls of Unich, the Falls of Damffand, and Mount Keen, the most easterly of the Munros.
If the outdoors is your thing, you're in the perfect area. We're surrounded by vast natural expanses, rolling hills, and all of nature's finest flora and fauna.

Located in Brechin, this cottage is in a rural area and in the mountains. Ballater Golf Club and Aboyne Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Mount Keen and Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve. Bedlam Paintball- Edzell and Deeside Activity Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
