Just half a mile away from Ballachulish village, with its reputation as a year round holiday destination because of its idyllic location and diverse range of activities accessible from the village, this is a great property. Enjoy mountain views and picturesque bays as you cycle the Loch Leven Trail, a 21 mile circular route around the loch. Follow the Glencoe Geotrail (5 miles) to discover the history of glaciers and volcanoes that created the spectacular landscape. Take a kayak out on Loch Leven or visit the Glencoe Mountain Resort for mountain biking and snowboarding. Head to Fort William (15 miles) to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain, or try white water rafting, gorge walking or canyoning to get the adrenaline flowing. Superbly positioned on the banks of Loch Leven and surrounded by spectacular scenery, your holiday home is set on what was once part of the famous Ballachulish slate quarry and the Victorian boathouses and sheds dot the coastline around the house. Step through the front door into the stylish kitchen/diner with its slate floor and window overlooking the garden is a welcoming space to sit and enjoy a hearty breakfast or leisurely supper at the large dining table. Equipped with a cooking range with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, you have everything you need to easily prepare family meals. After supper, head through to the cosy main sitting room with sliding doors overlooking the shoreline, allowing you to enjoy the ever changing scenery no matter the weather. Light the multi fuel stove, put your feet up on one of the cosy sofas and spend the night chatting about the highlights of your day. On this floor, you will find the first of the three bedrooms, a pretty double room with en suite bathroom with shower over bath, heated towel rail and WC. Head upstairs to the first floor and you'll find the cosy twin bedroom overlooking the loch. You have plenty of storage space and a luxurious en suite shower room with drench shower and WC. Your magnificent master suite is truly sensational with a king size bedroom with numerous Velux windows overlooking the loch and countryside. Double doors lead through to your private sitting room where double height ceiling and endless glass look out across the water which creates a mountain chalet feel. Sit and enjoy the continually changing light across the landscape or watch the birds and wildlife along the shoreline. At the end of the day, indulge in a relaxing soak in your double ended bath in your bathroom with WC. Watch the sunset whilst enjoying an al fresco drink on the terrace or breakfast at the garden table as the waves lap on the banks of the loch. Wander through the garden for a paddle in the clear waters or to stroll along the tranquil shoreline.
