Larch Cottage is a lovely detached holiday property, sitting on a hillside overlooking Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, near Dunoon, Argyll. It’s one of four situated within a small holiday development called Stronchullin.
Interior
With lots of natural light and lovely views, it sleeps six people in three bedrooms. On the ground floor there’s a spacious open-plan sitting room and dining area with oak flooring and a wood-burning stove. From the lounge there’s a patio door leading out to large deck and garden with magnificent views – the perfect spot for an evening drink. The newly upgraded kitchen complete with dishwasher has everything you could need, including a breakfast bar for casual meals. There’s also an newly upgraded shower room and a double bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there’s a modern bedroom with a double and single bed and a single bedroom.
Explore
Larch Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the whole of Argyll, with Oban, Bute, Inveraray and Portavadie Marina all within day-trip distance. There’s a lively arts scene around this area, as well as endless opportunities for outdoor activities – from kayaking in the sheltered waters to walking in the woods.
This cottage is located in Dunoon. Castle House Museum and Newark Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Blairmore and Strone Golf Glub and Holy Loch Marina. Quadmania and Benmore Botanic Garden are also worth visiting.
