Ruskin Lodge North offers a welcoming and comfortable home-from-home. The lodge sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms (each with a king-sized bed) and one twin (with two full sized single beds). Hotel quality bed linen and towels are provided for all guests.
DATES NOT AVAILABLE? Check out our neighbouring property Ruskin Lodge South which has been newly refurbished in 2022.
The lodge is part of a small collection of traditional privately-owned log cabins which see guests returning year after year. The lodge is in an elevated, quiet and bright spot and enjoys views of the surrounding forests and mountains.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has an alcove dining area which seats 6. The living room has two giant picture-frame windows with views of the surrounding woodland and has a large TV, DVD player, hifi with radio, small library of books and board games.
The lodge is a great base to explore Cowal. It is surrounded by ancient woodland, close to Loch Eck and the Holy Loch and is just a short drive away from Dunoon and all the amenities the town has to offer. Bute, the Arrochar Alps, Loch Awe, Loch Etive, Tighnabruaich, Inveraray and Loch Lomond can be reached by car or ferry, offering great day trips and spectacular journeys through some of Scotland’s most romantic, scenic and dramatic landscapes.
Come and stay at Ruskin Lodge North, whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway with friends & family, a romantic holiday with your loved one, or a comfortable base to explore Cowal.
You can relax on a large, private, covered veranda and take in the surrounding forests and mountains. We regularly see red squirrels, many types of unusual birds and deer.
We look forward to welcoming you!

THE AREA
The famous Puck's Glen walking trails begin behind the lodges and Benmore Botanical Gardens are a short walk away along a scenic track.
Tourists 'in-the-know' stay in Cowal. It is a haven for wildlife with red squirrels, otters and rare bird species inhabiting some of Scotland's most unspoilt and dramatic landscapes. Within a small area you can explore sandy beaches, rugged hills, lush ancient forests and impressive mountain ranges.
There is also a wide range of outdoor activities, including golf, fishing, horse-riding, mountain-biking and stalking, and visitors can enjoy many cultural events including the Cowal Highland Games, the largest in the world, in August each year.
There are excellent restaurants, cafes and inns in the area as well as traditional shops, tourist facilities and indoor activities in the nearby town of Dunoon.
Located in Dunoon, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and Loch Long, while The Queens Hall and Castle House Museum are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids?
