The Sitting room is a spacious, light and comfortable room which provides a panorama of Argyll scenery from its five east and south-facing windows. There are two sofas, two armchairs and a fitted window seat across the full width of the room, open fireplace and two glass-topped coffee tables. The bookcase contains a fine range of Scottish books. On the window seat there is an extensive collection of maps and guidebooks for the area and a pair of binoculars for spotting wildlife from the sitting room. In addition, there is a good selection of games, television set and DVD player. Kitchen/dining room is a splendid large room, overlooking the loch, with a breakfast bar dividing the dining room from the kitchen. It is excellently equipped, with a De Dietrich double oven, Neff ceramic hob, microwave with grill, and leading brand freezer, fridge and dishwasher. French windows lead from the dining room onto the sheltered terrace and garden. Laundry room leading off the kitchen, and adjacent to the back door and back lobby area, this is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. The twin bedroom is furnished with two single beds and Laura Ashley checked fabrics. It has a gentle, peaceful view over farmland and Beinn Bhreac. It is next door to the cloakroom. The cloakroom has a washbasin, toilet, heated towel rail, mirror and shelves and a ceramic-tiled floor. The Double bedroom is a spacious room with a king-sized bed, white painted country furniture, fitted washbasin, and Laura Ashley fabrics. It has wide views over farmland and Beinn Bhreac from the east window, and over Loch Etive from the south window. Twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom: is equipped with two single beds, and is furnished in creams, with pine furniture. It also overlooks the loch. The bookcase contains a large collection of books. The bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin, as well as a heated towel rail. The main bathroom with a fantastic view over Loch Etive, the bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and Laura Ashley tiles and fabrics. The bathroom is situated between the two upstairs bedrooms. Guests have access to the entire property.
There are a couple of restaurants nearby, The Hawthorn Restaurant is within 3.4 miles of the property, the Falls Restaurant is an 8-minute drive from the property and Tralee bay fish and chips is a 3.5 miles drive from the property. All pubs and bars are in the nearby town of Oban which is located 7.4 miles away and will take 18 minutes to drive. A car is recommended. No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay.
This vacation home is located in Oban. Oban War and Peace Museum and Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Glencruitten Golf Club and Oban Ferry Terminal. Ardchattan Priory Garden and Loch Visions are also worth visiting.
