Offering a luxury abode for a couple or some friends, this beautiful ground-floor converted barn rests in the riverside town of Llangollen. The Oaks is situated on the grounds of the owner's home, but enjoys a private entrance and garden space, so it's a peaceful and secluded space all to yourself. Park up on the driveway and enter this stylish dwelling and be welcomed into the open-plan living space to your left, with an apex ceiling held up by beautiful timber beams resting over the contemporary and stylish decor below. Find the sleek, glossy kitchen to contain all you need for making some excellent meals, with an electric oven and hob, as well as a fridge, freezer and dishwasher amongst the appliances, you'll be impressing the rest of the group with your culinary skills. Gather around the dining table, seated at the quirky chairs and tuck into some great food, or use this space to plan an activity or trip. Relax after exciting days in the sitting area, where the sofa can be transformed into a double bed for two extra guests, or can simply be a snug spot to wind down in front of the roaring gas stove-effect fire, whilst the evening light comes through the full-length glass windows, leading to the garden. In summer, open up the patio doors and delight in your own private patio space to enjoy, sip a refreshing drink at the outdoor furniture, then take a dip in the hot tub for a luxurious moment, afterwards popping on one of the provided fluffy robes, a thoughtful touch. When you're ready to head to sleep, travel back through the property and settle into the stunning king-size bedroom, with exposed timber beams, it offers a fabulous contrast of rustic and modern style. In the next room is the gorgeous bathroom, featuring an amazing large, light-up mirror and a huge skylight, so you'll be showered with sunlight and water when you're taking a hot shower in the shower, over the P-shape bath. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the added bonus of being able to store bikes and kayaks, as well as dry off wet clothing on the hooks, in the handy drying room, with underfloor heating in here too, it's a perfect addition. If you don't have your own kit or haven't got the experience, then make one of your first day trips be to go to canoeing or kayaking along the River Dee with TNR Outdoors, they offer a wide range of tours along the water, as well as exciting indoor activities for a rainy day, like axe-throwing, archery and air rifles! Stop for a delicious lunch or evening meal at The Corn Mill, a wonderful waterside restaurant offering beautiful views of the white waters of the River Dee, it has a welcoming atmosphere and even a wheel and deck, perfect for a warm summer day. For local history, visit the historic Plas Newydd House Museum & Gardens, a stunning 14th century house that was then rebuilt in Victorian times with further modelling in the 1930s, or head to the Llangollen Museum which is hosted in a circular building much like a castle tower situated on Parade Street. The Llangollen Motor Museum has a fabulous array of vintage cars, ranging from 1912 to 1975, it's a treat to see so many classic cars for any motor enthusiasts. For avid walkers, Llangollen will be the gateway to a wealth of walking opportunities, explore the incredible Berwyn Mountains, stretching from Llangollen and along the Dee Valley to Bala in the west, with 24 peaks, the highest being Cadair Berwyn, and some incredible wildlife; two popular routes include the North Berwyn Way and the Dee Valley Way.
