New for 2023!
Welcome to "Foxy," the shepherd's hut. This quirky hideaway is tucked away in a beautifully private spot in a cider orchard, with your own wood-fired hot tub and fire pit area - and that is not all! Look in the other direction and you will see a fabulous woodland which is full of rare and exotic plants - all for you to explore and enjoy! A delightful cosy rural retreat, for that 'back to nature experience'. Try stargazing from the purpose-made deck, listening to the dawn chorus, or simply chilling out and enjoying the views over the orchard and woodland below. If you're very quiet, you may see Mr Fox out hunting for his supper.
The stunning woodland is thanks to the owner, who had a creative vision many years ago to begin creating a haven of tranquillity. Now, years later the gardens are mature and offer such a lush, private retreat that could be mistaken for another country. Within the wild valley there is mature woodland with wildlife ponds, a stream and waterfalls. Try the Wild Running Track through the woodland, or opt for a spot of forest bathing! Anybody who gets to enjoy this incredible setting will undoubtedly forget about daily strains and will not want to leave!
Foxy is located in the village of Ludgvan, just a short drive to the hustle and bustle of St Ives and the popular tourist attraction St Michael's Mount. Marazion would be your nearest town, just over a mile away, and part of the superb Mount's Bay Coastline with wide sandy beaches and safe swimming. There's a wide range of gardens, art galleries and fantastic restaurants within a 15-minute car journey. Chysauster Ancient village is close by; it's the remains of a Roman settlement, occupied almost 2,000 years ago. Set on a hillside, the views are stunning, and there's a fantastic array of fauna, flora and wildlife. The coastal fishing port of Newlyn is definitely worth a visit; famous as the home of Newlyn's School of Art, the town is steeped in Cornish history and has a range of fantastic restaurants.
