The location is within easy reach of the main A30, and numerous popular destinations are all within a 30-minute drive. It is just a short drive to Carbis Bay with its beautiful sandy beach and popular beach café, as well as St Ives with its array of cafés and restaurants dotted along the seafront and pretty harbour. The bay stretches up through the sand dunes at Hayle and the wide estuary, which is popular for bird watchers, and beyond to Godrevy and Gwithia, with Godrevy Lighthouse perched on its rocky outcrop. Continuing up the coast road, you will arrive at Portreath and Porthtowan, which are both popular surfing beaches. The special light in this area has attracted artists over the generations and the town has a wealth of art galleries, including the Tate Modern and the Barbara Hepworth sculpture museum. The scenic coastal train runs from nearby station at St Erth past numerous stunning beaches, to St Ives. The famous coastal road from St Ives to Pendeen, runs over heather-clad moorland, passing mining heritage and the picturesque village of Zennor with legends of mermaids and pirates. Beach 1½ miles.
