This house is set in the countryside with magnificent views of Slieve Gullion Mountain, described as the most mystic of the Irish mountains, situated to the east side of the famous Sperrin Mountains in County Derry. Situated in the centre of Northern Ireland, on the north west of Lough Neagh, known as the largest freshwater lake in the Irish and British Isles, with five of the Province’s six counties touching its shores. You are just two minutes off the famous Glenshane Pass a major mountain pass, going through the Sperrin Mountains on the main Derry to Belfast route.
Glenfield House consists of a large living room, a conservatory with views of the countryside and mountain, a dining room and kitchen fitted with all modern appliances. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms, one bedroom with an additional sofa bed for children, and a family bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet and sink.
There is a beautiful seating area in the garden, a tranquil haven looking out across the countryside where you can feast your senses with morning bird song or wildlife sounds throughout the day.
The town of Maghera offers great cafés, fine-dining restaurants and fantastic bars, nightclubs, and traditional music on offer throughout the year.
There is a 9-hole golf course in Magherafelt and a fantastic 130 acre championship golf course in Castledawson, only a 10 minute drive. It has an indoor sports arena that is the largest in Europe and a 50m Olympic-size pool, health suite with sauna. The Causeway Coast and the Glens of Antrim are 40 minutes away, and Portstewart, home to the Irish Open, is a 50-minute drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
