Doonbeg is just an hour’s drive from Shannon Airport, a three to four hours’ drive from Dublin Airport and two and a half hours from Cork Airport. The Shannon ferry in Killimer connects to County Kerry.
There is fishing nearby and Trump International Golf Links with spa and restaurant is just 8 minutes’ drive away and can be seen on the other side of the bay. It is also only a 10-15 minutes’ drive to Kilkee, the popular seaside resort with fantastic cliff scenery, and also the gateway to the remote, rugged Loop Head Peninsula.
