Visit the market town of Barnard Castle home to a French designed Chateau Bowes Museum with its collection of art. The iconic Durham Cathedral and Durham Castle are both steeped in history, wander through the city centre to find lots of hidden gems from boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants. This newly renovated former dairy building is now a homely ground floor resting in the owners working farm grounds with luscious green views.
