This luxurious holiday home, High Church Hill, is situated on a farm in Witton Gilbert, Northumberland. The converted former grain store provides the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors with the family, within easy reach of the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After parking up in one of the off-road spaces, take in your marvellous countryside location, with views of the rolling hills beyond. Make your way inside to find a beautifully decorated open-plan living space, where everything you need can be found at your fingertips! Make your way over to the contemporary, well-equipped kitchen, a space that is superbly fitted for any culinary task, owing to its range of integrated appliances, such as a dishwasher and wine chiller. After the chef of the group has prepared a mouthwatering meal, enjoy it around the breakfast bar as a quick treat before heading out, or as a sit-down affair, over a glass of wine at the nearby dining table. In the evening, kick back and unwind in the fabulous sitting area, where chic seating rests in front of a flatscreen TV; switch on the electric fire for extra warmth! As the day winds to a close, ascend the stairs to find three excellent bedrooms, the first of which is a light and airy king-size, thanks to the floor-length windows and vaulted ceilings; this magnificent space opens out to an en-suite area, where leisurely soaks amongst the vista can be enjoyed in the amazing freestanding bath. Two further bedrooms can be found close by, both of which feature a king-size bed and enjoy access to their own en-suite bathrooms. Concluding the property's interior is an additional cloakroom, perfect for avoiding those morning queues! A highlight of the property is its landscaped garden, where a hot tub welcomes you with a relaxing soak at the end of a day packed with excursions. The local village of Witton Gilbert has a variety of eateries, including The Travellers Rest, a pub serving up hearty meals, as well as a convenience store, so you'll be well-catered to throughout your stay; additionally, the Malton Picnic Area, Diggerland, and the historic house and gardens of Ushaw are all close by. Continue to Durham, where you'll find the attractions of Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral, as well as the renowned Oriental Museum, 10-hectare Botanic Garden, and the River Wear, where you can enjoy idyllic, riverside strolls. Spend some time in Chester-le-Street, a market town with numerous historic buildings, including St Michael's Church, and beautiful green areas, like Riverside Park and Lumley Park. For additional city fun, visit Newcastle, a place boasting a plethora of activities for all ages; alternatively, for some outdoor pursuits, visit the North Pennines AONB, which has abundance of hikes and cycling routes, or travel to the coastal towns of Sunderland or Whitley Bay to enjoy seaside escapades. Create everlasting memories with a stay at High Church Hill. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 951105, 952973 and 952975, together sleeping up to 24 guests.
