There are some wonderful walks and hikes, along with opportunities for fishing (licence required), golf and horse riding on the beach. Killorglin has some fine restaurants, with an award-winning restaurant in Cromane. Take a day trip to the Dingle Peninsula with its incredible coastal scenery, or along the Ring of Kerry to Killarney with its lakes and National Park.
