Beaufort 4.5 miles. This pretty, detached dormer bungalow is behind the owner's home, a short drive from the village of Beaufort in County Kerry. With beautiful views of Carrauntoohil, the highest peak in Ireland, and the Macgillycuddys Reeks Range. Silver Birch House is an excellent destination for walkers, families and couples exploring this stunning county. Inside is a bright hallway where you can hang your bags and coats, with a doorway leading into a cosy, open plan living area. The compact but modern shower room is accessed from the sitting room. Upstairs are two eaves bedrooms with Velux windows, welcoming in the sunshine and framing wonderful views of the countryside and distant mountains. There is a lovely, enclosed lawned garden outside and a gravelled patio with picnic table which seats 4 people where you can enjoy fresh air and sunshine with a refreshing drink! There are lots of walking opportunities nearby such as Killarney National Park and less than 2 miles to Cronins yard at the base of Carrauntoohil mountain. Guests can also enjoy a round of golf at Beaufort Golf Club. Spend an afternoons fishing on Lough Leane, or head off to the coast and visit the shallow tidal estuary at Castlemaine Harbour.
