Filming of Star Wars took place in the Skelligs in 2014. The local pubs have regular traditional music and Irish set dancing sessions, and there are shops and seasonal restaurants locally.

Patty’s Cottage is comfortable and inviting, with a wood burner and TVs in all bedrooms, and guests will enjoy the beautiful sea views from the large, private, outdoor seating area. There is a tiny beach just ½ mile from the cottage, and further afield there are four magnificent beaches within 8 miles - Ballinskelligs and St Finian’s Bay to name a few.

The area is surrounded by cliffs and mountain walks. Enjoy a round of golf on the world-famous Waterville Golf Links, 13 miles, or there is horse riding, fishing and boat trips all available locally. A trip to the breathtaking Skellig Islands is a must (weather dependent), or sample the wares at the local chocolate factory. Beach ½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1.3 miles..
