Go horse riding or mountain biking in the area. Drive 7 miles to Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, to shop for delicious local produce, or spend the afternoon in Keswick, 17 miles away, to browse in its independent outlets and perhaps dine out. Enter this beautiful barn conversion to discover its clever, upside down layout. Find the generous reception hall gives access to four of the bedrooms: these include two doubles, a twin and a bunk room. There is also a family bathroom, with WC, handbasin and freestanding bath, plus a separate WC and a utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer at this level.
